Rockefeller Center Tree Lighting – Wedensday, December 2nd
Holiday Tree Lighting – Friday, December 4th
Welcome the holiday season in EGAD as they bring back a nostalgic, simpler classic white Christmas in Eau Gallie Square. The traditional live tree lighting begins with the Mayor and the Eau Gallie High School Jazz Band. The square will be blanketed in white lights with luminaires lining Eau Gallie Boulevard. Enjoy hot cocoa or cider while the kids visit with Santa in a classic sleigh. You can find excitement in the human snow globe so bring your cameras and make your Christmas card photograph! Free.
5th Annual Christmas in the Park – Friday, December 4th
6 p.m. Join the city of Melbourne for a fun-filled night of caroling, hayrides, write a letter to Santa, arts and crafts and meet Mr. & Mrs. Claus! Tree Lighting will be at 8 p.m. Free.
Stroll Through the Lights – Saturday, December 5th
6:30 p.m. Space Coast Lightfest will be closed for cars and open for walkers. This is the perfect time to load up your family and come enjoy the lights. Kids will have the opportunity to see Santa Claus and the whole family will have fun while viewing lights. Horse rides and vendors will also be available! $5 per person or $20 for family (six immediate family members.)
Candlelight Shopping in Downtown Melbourne – Saturday, December 5th
5 p.m. Candlelight Shopping in Downtown Melbourne is a family-friendly tradition many love. This year’s Candlelight Shopping theme is “There’s No Place Like Downtown Melbourne.” Candlelight Shopping takes place November 28, December 5, 12, and 19 from 5 to 9 p.m. in Downtown Melbourne.
First Day of Hanukkah – Sunday, December 6th

Melbourne Light Parade – Saturday, December 12th
6 p.m. The 23rd Annual Melbourne Light Parade will light up Melbourne. The parade starts on Airport Boulevard and ends at Gateway Drive. Spectators are encouraged to bring a new, unwrapped toy, non-perishable food item, and/or bag of dog or cat food. Volunteers will be picking them up.
Jingle Bell 2 Miler – Saturday, December 19th
Part of the 2015-16 Running Zone Foundation Race Series. Lots of fun for everyone! Jingle bells for everyone’s shoes, best holiday costume awards and a special appearance by Santa and Zippy are just a few of the events planned for this event. Also, Santa hats for the 1st 500 entrants so register early!
