Sea Turtle Nesting Season – Through the end of July
If you have never been on a turtle walk to watch them nest we highly recommend it! Its a nighttime event on the beaches (don’t be discouraged if you don’t see one the first time out, the turtles are on a payroll!) with guides to help you watch the endangered species lay their eggs, it truly is amazing! Here are some links to groups that put on the walks, call now before they fill up!
- Sea Turtle Preservation Society
- Barrier Island Center
- Sebastian Inlet State Park
- Archie Carr National Wildlife Refuge
