Fall is here, well officially on the 23rd so says the calendar even though it still feels like the middle of summer! Here are a few things going on around town to help beat the back to school blues. Like us on Facebook and let us know what else is happening.

Patriot Day – Friday, September 11th

Fall Luncheon & Fashion Show– Friday, September 11th

The Women’s Center of Brevard presents their “Fall Luncheon & Fashion Show” – Come enjoy live music, guest speakers, 50/50, silent & live auction, local artists and shopping with: White House Black Market, Swanky Sole & other local vendors.

Turtle Krawl 5k Run/Walk- Saturday, September 12th

Participants will receive beautiful Turtle Krawl shirts and reusable race packets totes (both guaranteed for first 2000 registrants) in addition to several other race day amenities. Stunning sea turtle-shaped medals will be awarded to standard Age Group Winners, Masters, Grandmasters, Great-Grandmasters, the Top 10 Competitive Walkers, and even to the person who finishes exactly in the middle of the field – the “Middle of the Nest” award winner. Cattle Baron’s Ball – Saturday, September 26th

The Cattle Barons’ Ball is like no other American Cancer Society event. It is the premier vehicle for engaging Brevard County’s influential social and corporate net-works into the fight against cancer. The Cattle Barons’ Ball is an elite evening filled with cowboy boots, burlap & bling. This western theme night is comprised of fine food, impressive entertainment, and exciting live & silent auctions.

National Lobster Day – Friday, September 25th

Ok, so maybe its more for Maine lobsters but down here at Up the Creek nothing beats a spiny!
