We were delighted and honored to work with the Women’s Center and host their Southern Indulgence spring event this year! If you don’t know, the Women’s Center is an amazing group of people who are dedicated to developing programs and providing services for individuals in crisis or transition. They provide counseling, safe houses, transitional houses, and classes that help participants grow confidence and opportunities…just to name a few of the invaluable services they do for the community! The Women’s Center is also in the midsts of celebrating their 40th year!!! of addressing the needs of women by giving them a step up towards safe, healthy and sufficient lives! Check out their website for more information and how YOU can help at http://womenscenterinbrevard.org/
We loved working with the girls from Sassy A La Mode who did an amazing job styling the event. Crystal & Crates set a lounge area with their vintage furniture under the oaks for folks to unwind and relax under the trees with music. The lighting by Sophisticated Gents made the property and the Boathouse come alive as the sun went down!
Local restaurants and caterers were on hand to provide signature dishes and drinks while guests enjoyed music and mingled on the deck of the Boathouse. Guests were able to indulge themselves with iconic southern dishes like shrimp & grits, cheddar and ham biscuits, chicken & waffles and a non-alcoholic drink bar from Sol-Tree. Our favorite was the lavender maple lemonade…it doesn’t get much more southern than that! A live auction of a beautiful painting brought in over $1500 which was the cap to a wonderful event. Don’t forget to head over to the Women’s Center’s website to learn more about what you can do to help!
