There is nothing in the world like springtime flower blooms. They are a cheerful sign that says “Welcome! Summer Straight Ahead!” It is a sweet surprise to greet you as you walk around your community and realize the leafy green plant from yesterday sprouted gorgeous petals overnight. Irises opening & reaching for the sun, Star Jasmine bursting with the most sweet fragrance, and bulbs emerging from the ground with fresh hues at the tip-top. Within the past few weeks at Up the Creek Farms, the Mango Liqueur hibiscus are blooming wide with bright yellows & oranges, plus the Gardenias’ delightful aroma greets you around the Boathouse patio.
An exciting part of wedding day for us at Up the Creek Farms is seeing the floral arrangements to compliment the decor & theme. You will certainly hear many “Ooooohs” and “Ahhhhs” when the florist arrives. Pieces of art made with nature’s finest! Even one year ago today, Christina & Rob’s wedding flowers are still on our minds. The pops of color in the bouquets, centerpieces, and arrangements added boldness and punctuated the joyful day. The star of the floral arrangements were coral-pink Peonies and bold blue Delphinium. Christina & Rob’s day was magnificent in all aspects. The ceremony was held at St. Helen Catholic Church, then the party began under the oaks of UTCF with a cornhole competition. The bride, groom, and their guests danced the night away after eating a delicious meal of BBQ and wedding cake. After their engagement shoot (click here for pictures!), we knew this wedding was going to be cheery & fun… the new Mr. & Mrs. didn’t dissapoint!
