There is no denying that we have had our fare share of drop dead stunning, heartfelt, loving weddings but this one literally takes the cake. Jackie and Curtiss were so much fun to work with – our meetings were always full of laughter while we were wondering if the suits would actually make it to the wedding day! There were so many little details from their wedding that built it up into an amazing day.
Traditions held a big part in their day. Jackie’s family comes from the south and they were looking for a more relaxed feeling for dinner – no assigned seating and they wanted guests to feel welcome to mix, mingle and eat as they wished. After dinner we recommend that the newlyweds make their way around the room (table touches) to say a quick hello to each of their guests. With such a relaxed dinner atmosphere we looked to a more northern tradition and held a receiving line after the ceremony so they were able to greet their guests as they went to cocktail hour (which ended right as some rain started!). Thank goodness they buried that bottle of bourbon so it held off through their ceremony – another southern tradition that we love!
Jackie and Curtiss cut their wedding cake with the serving set from her parents wedding and they had photos from both parents weddings with a pair of lace gloves and a flower crown that the mothers wore. It was a wonderful planning process with them and the wedding was simply amazing, we are so happy to have them apart of our family!
Oh – and there is this amazing video to put it all in motion!
