A Classy Coastal Wedding
Kylie and James wanted a classy coastal wedding that would represent them as a couple. They are laid back and easy going and their day was just that. As locals to the Brevard County area, Kylie and James brought the tropical feel they grew up with to their April reception at Up the Creek Farms. The couple was drawn to the timeless look of greenery and knew from the start they wanted to incorporate it. Even Kylie’s footwear was an easy choice. “I chose a slide-on sneaker, with lace and a little sparkle as my wedding day shoes! Best decision ever! So comfortable and I still get to wear them now!”
The ceremony was at Holy Name of Jesus. “It was so special because we both grew up at the church.” James received all of his sacraments from HNJ and attended Pre-k through middle school there. They both went to youth group and retreats with the church. During the ceremony, James’ cousins led them in a song which was a beautiful and special touch to the ceremony.
Up The Creek Farms welcomed guests with lawn games and signature drinks! Kylie and James love tailgating and cheering on the Gators so cornhole during cocktail hour was an easy choice! Kylie loves mason jars so they were given to guests to use and take home at the end of the night.
During the reception in the boathouse, the newlyweds danced to Perfect by Ed Sheeran under the chandeliers. “We also had the UF Gator head as a groom’s cake. We had to show off our Florida pride!” Kylie and James closed out the night to a private last dance in the boathouse. “It was a beautiful way to end the day!”
The couple’s advice: “Make your wedding day all about yourselves! People are going to have opinions on your day, but remember it’s all about your love as a couple.”
