Old Florida Southern Wedding
Last November Megan and Josh shared a beautiful day with their friends and family. We loved hosting their old Florida, southern wedding at Up the Creek Farms complete with a Bluegrass Band and plenty of rustic charm! Fortunately, their dream was to have a simple but elegant, vintage wedding and it was exactly that. A heartfelt ceremony included a reading from Megan’s father in law and the strand of 3 chords was completed under the oak cathedral.
We asked Megan for any advice she would give to future Up the Creek Couples and we couldn’t agree more! “Just relax and enjoy the planning. Brianna, the wedding coordinator was amazing and made sure my day was stress-free!”
Megan and Josh’s ceremony decor featured plenty of fresh greenery and jewel-toned florals in various shades of blush. Rustic accents like vintage crates and classic lawn games charmed guests with feelings of Old Florida.
Then the sounds of the old south delighted guests during a beautiful cocktail hour! Florals designed by Up the Creek Farms set the reception mood and gave the boathouse a feel of vintage elegance. Silver chargers, lace runners and distressed compotes decorated their farmhouse tables. A sparkler sendoff sent the newlyweds off with a bit of flair!
